Listen and Look..

Listen to me, you that follow after righteousness, you that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence you are cut, and to the hole of the pit where you have been dug.

Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

Isaiah 51:1-2

Hebrews 12 says it this way; ‘Look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.’ This is the New Testament update. The rock, the chief corner stone, the first-born among the dead, our Lord and Saviour. Look unto Him that was slain for all our sin. Look unto Him who paid the price for us to be translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light.

Look unto the rock. Seek the the Lord. Follow after righteousness.

Our focus in life must be Jesus. Our vision must be trained on the The Word. Jesus is the Word made flesh. If you want to know who Jesus is look to the Word. The Bible is what creates in you the revelation of who Jesus is, who He was and who He is in your life today.

Live in Christ.

‘I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.’

Galatians 2:20

Christ lives in you. You have a life in Christ. It is a wonderful life. It is a life full of health, wealth, victory, and success. You are a part of something great. Your potential is unlimited. You are special. You are a child of God and you can achieve all that He assigns to you. You are crucified with Christ, not living a life of your own, living a life that is filled with Him.

The Son of the Living God…

‘He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

And Simon Peter answered and said,

Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.’

Matthew 16:15-19

The Christ: The Anointed One, Jesus, the Messiah. The revelation Peter received and spoke out that day creates the foundation for the Church age. The Anointed One. Jesus was not only Saviour to the world to remove them from hell into heaven but He was more than that. He was and is anointed.

If something is anointed it is covered. The word means to pour over, smear into and to cover with oil, water, etc. You cannot separate Jesus from His anointing which means you cannot separate His body from that same anointing.

Because we can!

It feels like it has been awhile since I written a blog post! Lot’s of things have been happening over the last couple of weeks and it feels like time has flown by but at the same time stayed quite still. It is great when you have fun but really have the time to enjoy the fun…not just move on and look for the new thing.

I have been recording and teaching a new series for Word of Faith Training which will be released this month. I’ll make sure put up the details so you can find out more. Last week my family and I were able to take a short break in the Lakes here in the UK. I have also been out and about cycling on my new exercise adventure! This doesn’t include having no internet (so no broadcasts) for three days and then me deciding to lock myself out of my phone for another three days.

Anyways, enough about my adventures. I have been enjoying the wind down time and have been meditating all about faith for the last few weeks. Our lives as believers are based around faith, it is our foundation. The trust and certainty that Jesus provides as our Lord is what we base our complete existence on. If you don’t, Jesus Himself says we are building on sand and not the Rock.

Stop chasing the Blessings and chase the KING!

Stop chasing the Blessings and chase the KING!

I heard this in my heart this morning, as clear as anything,

“I am bringing my people back to the person of Jesus…for it is all about Him.”

Jesus.

Say His name. Jesus.

His is the highest name. His is the name above all names. His is the name that is Victory. His is the name of our Lord and Saviour. He is worthy. Worthy of all praise. He deserves it all. He is our King.

We are in times of upheaval. All over the world things are shifting and shaking. It has been like this for a time but it is yet again accelerating. Persecution may well accelerate. Wars and rumours of wars. Plagues, pandemics and mass fear.

This is not a time to be shaken. This is not a time to chase your blessing. This is not a time for the church to remain in isolation or claim the promises of God only for themselves. There is a world out there who needs Jesus. There is a Christian near you who needs your overflow.
