Never Ever Settle!
Settling for where you are at in life is limiting God in your life. We were created to grow. We were created to expand. Our prosperity was never limited. In fact, God wants to fill us up with Himself. God has said He wants to
“through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
Ephesians 3:20
If God has a plan for you to achieve things that go beyond what you can conceive we need to become so aware of His presence working in us. We have a bible duty to allow God to complete the work in us that He started. If we allow Him to do this in us we will never settle.
God has been revealing to me lately about levels of the Christian walk. Quite often we preach “Do not be weary in well doing for in due time you will reap.” When we do we often feel like, “if I can just get through to the end it will be alright!” It’s like we don’t want to be weary and if we can put off weariness for a short time God will come through.
That is not what God is saying. He is saying, “expansion is coming. A new level is coming. Don’t quit, don’t get tired, you will be lifted up.” God is revealing to us how to not settle, how to get to the next level. In fact, when you get there…do the same thing. Paul said to “press, press towards the mark, the goal.” You will always have a Christian duty to go UP!
We are not static believers, we have been released to grow.
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him…Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”
Ephesians 3:16-19
God’s unlimited power and resources are available to us. We have the ability to be empowered from on high! What did God say when He created mankind…
“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.””
Genesis 1:27-28
When God created mankind He had a goal. He was creating a family. He was establishing His people on the planet as the dominant species. He places us here to grow, multiple and expand. We all know what happened next. Mankind rebelled, God had to put in a rescue plan.
Noah and the flood came and God realigned mankind again and reiterated the command to go forth and be fruitful. Later God created a covenant with a man named Abraham and commanded him to be a blessing. As Christians we a part of that covenant. The blessing of Abraham is ours as we are Christ’s.
Our job, once we are born again, is to fulfil these commands. Jesus said it a different way and released the Blessing through the command of, “Go! Go, into all the world and preach the Gospel.” That command is for the church to go out and carry His presence to the world.
Luke 4:18 gives us insight into our call as that was what Jesus was anointed to do.
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the LORD’s favour has come.”
Luke 4:18-19
We are to carry an anointing. We can’t preach something we don’t have. We can’t release people from bondage if we are bound.
Settling for where you are at is limiting God in your life. We were created to grow. We were created to expand. Our prosperity was never limited. We are commissioned to take God’s plan, His power and His prosperity to the earth.
You cannot afford to settle. Don’t survive on the wage you have. Believe God for more. Believe God for a new house, a new car, or even new land! Release your faith and allow God to bless you!
The reason? To put on full display God’s glory on this earth! Demonstrate the Blessing of God on your life! You aren’t prospering to look after your own, you are prospering to bring God on the scene and demonstrate His love for you and the world!
Never be ashamed to prosper! The anointing of God will come on your life stronger and stronger as you expand. The anointing will be carried on your life and you will have more than enough…with more than enough you have plenty to give out. When you prosper based on biblical principles your life becomes a life flow for those around you!!
What things can you and I achieve with full prosperity, spirit, soul and body! When we carry the abundance God has provided we carry the answer for the world! When we ensure our Local Church is blessed because of our obedience to God’s plan to prosper we step up into yet another level.
God has so much for you and I. We are His children! We have a God who loves us and will bless us. He said in John 14:
“Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”
John 14:21
Doing the Word of God, obeying His commandments, opens the door to God manifesting His power, His love and His Word to us. His Word says that if you obey His commands you will be blessed! Don’t short circuit what God has said. Don’t cut off God’s manifestation in your life because you are settling for where you are. There is always more of God! There is always more of His life to lead! God is a God of MORE!
To many Christians are living for a breakthrough rather than carrying breakthrough for others! Let God reign in your life today and declare His Blessing in your life! Let God grow big on the inside of you right now…decide now to NEVER SETTLE AGAIN!
