Rise up and Walk.
For the last few days I have been hearing in my heart what Jesus said to many people in the Gospels. Jesus healed multitudes of people as they came to Him, often on a daily basis. The woman with the issue of blood crawled through the crowds to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment. Blind Bartimaeous cried out until Jesus heard Him. The centurion commanded Jesus to speak the Word only and ‘my servant will be healed’.
Every where Jesus went people put a demand on Him. Children came, parents came and loved ones expected much from Him. Every one of the people who received from Jesus activated their faith somehow. When there wasn’t revival in the towns and villages Jesus could do no mighty work. Their faith failed to put a demand on Him.
It is faith that receives. It is faith that believes. It is faith that takes the step toward a loving Saviour who died for you. Jesus paid the price but it is you and I that need to connect with Him.
The Holy Spirit lives in the born again believer. The power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. The power is ready to move just as the power was ready and on the move for creation.
If the power is available, if the power lives in us why do we often come short of the same Jesus who healed them all in the Gospels of the Bible?
Faith.
Faith needs to be in operation and faith needs to flow in the direction of the healer. Faith needs to be reaching out for the provision the provider has delivered. If you operate your faith you will connect.
Rise up and walk. Rise up and pick up your bed. Rise up and leave this place, never to be the same again. Rise up so that many around you can see the glory of the Lord. Rise up and step forward as Jesus often commanded the cripple.
You may not be physically in complete. Your condition may be mental, your thoughts holding you back, oppression and depression battling for control of your senses. There is no enemy too big if your faith is present.
In fact, you may be struggling in several areas but Jesus still says, “Your sins are forgiven.” His blood still declares that you are washed clean by that blood. You are no longer captive. You have a new life ahead of you. You are sin free.
You are forgiven. You are clean. There is also some even better news…Jesus never stopped there. He did not just forgive you…
His Word declares: Rise up and walk.
Take what I have given you. Sin no more but in your forgiveness I declare you healed. You are free. Burdens removed, chains cast off.
Rise up and walk. Go forth and take your bed with you. Go and tell all about the work of God in your miracle. Let the Glory of God rise upon you so that your neighbours, your co-workers and your friends see the change. Take what you have been given and go heal someone else.
Release your faith in Him today. Receive what He declares over you. Take hold of it and declare it from your own mouth.
Freedom is yours. Freedom now gives you an opportunity. An opportunity to release some grand faith. It is time to step up and go all out for God. It is time to think big, rise up out of wherever you have been stuck and run with what God puts on your heart.
Develop your faith. Increase your capacity. Increase your vision. Increase your ability. Learn new skills. Improve your character. Don’t sit idly by and watch what God is doing in other peoples lives.
Like the man at the gate beautiful engage with the Anointing. Put your attention on the power of God. Let God move through you to achieve great things.
You are not defeated. You are not under the enemy’s power. You are a believer who is aware and enlightened. You have the capacity to walk in everything God has says.
Change your mind if you don’t believe me.
Become bold where you have been timid. Become strong where you have been weak. Hook up your faith with the words of Jesus and RISE UP AND WALK.
When you get up, shout. When you get up dance. I declare you will walk and leap and praise all the way to church this Sunday!!
