Arise, shine; for thy light is come,Isaiah 60:1-2
and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
and gross darkness the people:
but the LORD shall arise upon thee,
and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
When a light shines from a lighthouse ships are alerted to danger. When lights are on a runway airplanes know where to land. Light is helpful as a warning and also as a guide.
The entrance of God’s Word brings light. His Word will alert you to the enemies tactics and it will also eradicate darkness that stands in your way. God’s Word will guide you and will illuminate your path as you move forward into the unknown. The more Word…the more Light.
Always remember as we talk about light that Jesus is the Light of the World. Jesus is also the Word made flesh. He spoke out and declared to that His Words are spirit and truth. He is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus is the illuminating factor to all that we do. We have a guide, we have a direction and we have a path set before us as we allow the light of the Gospel to shine from our hearts.
The Gospel preached brings revelation that increases awareness of the Light. The Light, the Word, is created to shine. The container of a born again believer carries the Light of God’s Glory. A believer filled with the Holy Spirit is filled with light.
Jesus lives in you by the power of His Spirit. The Holy Spirit was there when Light was created and He lives in you. The power of God resides at your fingertips. You are the temple of God. You are filled with light!
That shining light within you will attract souls, many souls! The glory of God inside you is the Good News of the Gospel. The Word made flesh. The light. The light that is in the Gospel. The Good News must be carried wherever it is sent and then preached to all that will listen!
